Book Light

Had a bad week this week. Lost one of best friends this week, Becky you will be missed. She encouraged everyone she meet, I supplied her with cards. She would sent them to everyone. This is Becky with her new copier.  This picture always make me smile. I love ya Becky.

But while I'll was sitting at my desk I needed to create something,

 I had sent a book light on The Chive and I really wanted one,

so that is what I made this week.

Gutting the book.

I had to break down the bulb holder to fit inside the book, then I clamped it down and used Royal Coat Decoupage finish on the inside. then clamped the side and drilled a hole in the side. I added the switch and wired it up. If you need to see how I did that let me know. I used a lot of hot glue to hold everything in place and use as a strain relief for the cord.  

 And here is the final product, it looks great the pages on the outside look great.

I have been work on a gift for Susan in our craft Club, I decided to make her a necklace of different charms.

The blue one is a stone Bead soldered, stone heart bead wrapped in copper wire, Key, Small watch part tin, glass jar of with Soldered top, Jade Ball, copper pipe charm, copper toggle

The red is a jade leaf wrapped in copper wire, Chunk of steel ruler, Watch part tin, copper bird nest, Copper pipe with gears, brass flower with beads.

They are great fun to make if anyone would like to make them let me know.

Well now that I can find every idea possible on pinterest I'm finding it difficult looking at individual blogs. But then I found Craft grawker, even more cute ideas, wholly cow now what.

Baby Shower

So these are what I made for a Baby Shower this week, I used extra streght Heat bond, the baseball boys is off a peice of fabric, I just cut out one of the designs, the tie I seen on pinterest, the little demin vest is my own design. I love how they turned out.

To much Time on my Hands

I only say that at work, but this is a really cute site, mostly because of the scrabble tiles, we have started playing this game at home, so now I want to but them on everything.
