http://creationsbypatti.blogspot.com/
I found this yesterday, awesome tutorials.

Plus I found these on Craig's list a bunch of old country wood piece's and I thought there has to be some way to make these look cool. So here is my first attempt.

You really can't see it but there are purple wire stems popping out of it, and some bling on it.

May Flaum

In case you didn't know I've had a crush on May since I met her at Charleston Scrapbooking, I guess it was last year. What really impress me was that she didn't have a hard and fast class but, a chance to explore with some new and very cool products, she also went around and seem to just encourage everyone to do there own thing. I did my pages for my mom, kind of a missing you page, I was going to add photos of my family down here and send into her in MN. She also scrapbooks along with all of my sisters. I never did it. May I will now, I just put the page in my scrapbook and didn't send them. But anyway It was cool to see what different thing people could do with the same supplies.

She has a new free class coming up at Big Picture Class, so go check that out, also she just did a review of her favorite stuff at CHA.

A perfect waste of time

http://a-perfect-waste-of-time-loriete.blogspot.com/2011/04/tutorial-nellie-snellen-flower-stencil.html

If this doesn't make you want to get some of those plastic stencil that I didn't think anyone used anymore, what will. It's kind of like those foam stamps, as soon as someone shows you the coolest way to use it, you start wishing "I sure wish I didn't sell those for a nickel at the last garage sale. Damn it."
But really that is one of the most amazing things. It again makes me wonder, How much time do these ladies spend on one card or layout. I need to up my game.

I seen this book in Barnes and Noble, and for some reason thought of Amber. So amber I hope you rad this. Creepy ass dolls, what more needs to be said.

Craft Day

What a great day Saturday was. I was getting a little edgy because I have not been around crafty people in a week or two. So to say the least Saturdays Craft club fit the bill. We had a BBQ, the shinky Dink bracelet turned out great, I love how they just take off and make something even cooler then what we started with. What an amazing group of women. Then then was a dip in the pool.
Thank you to all the ladies in Craft Club.

Blogging

I know a couple of us are new to blogging, so I found this website that gives some great tips on what to do, and how to make it your own.
http://balzerdesigns.typepad.com/balzer_designs/2011/07/some-thoughts-on-blogging.html#axzz1Rpb0nMa7

I have to say I was a little bummed that my Tag Class did make this week. So I guess I'll show the ladies at the craft club this weekend my projects and see if they think they are good enough and maybe they can offer some tips on what people are looking for.
But I'm real excited about craft club it's at my house this Saturday and we will be having a BBQ and make Bracelets, swimming. Really does it get any better than chilling with my crafty friends. This is what we will be make it's form Cathe Holden at  http://justsomethingimade.com/ one of the most awesome blogs out there. We will be making extra charms to go on it too.

cool and creepy

I love altered items, I wish I had more of that vision. I mean check out this website. I look at old mechanical stuff all day long. But for some reason it never occurs to me to make it into a piece of art. I have been looking around now at different thing I see, trying to visualize now to make something awesome out of it. I guess someday I will just have to pick it up and do it. Thanks to all of you who teach me to view thing in new ways everyday.

On July 11, I will be teaching a Tag class. It the first class of a new series at Scrap, Stamp and Ink. So along with making two tags, one Patrotic and one with Hot Air Ballons. I'l be using lots of vintage images and showing different techniques using Embossing Folders. Here are the Tags: They use a few of my favorite things like: Tim Holtz Distresing Stains (love Them, and need more) Coordinate card stock and smashed pennies. I just keep adding things to them too. So I'll have a variety of different Images and items to try. I hope you all can make it.
