pinterest crafting

I've seen these made for several differant holiday's and since I had a frame I figured I would put it together. It still needs some ribbon or something though.

These are my Christmas card designs for this year.

This is Anna-belle sleeping on my lap. She is adorable when she is passed out across my lap.

I made these at Missy Dorby's Stamp Camp. What a great time with all my crafty friends.

I also finished off my ATC's for this month which is It's a wonderful life. As soon as I find them I will post them.

Crop

I had the pleasure of having a brunch of women crafters in my home last Saturday. I have to say it was one of the best times ever. A couple of the ladies did projects for every one. The first was the amazing Amanda Phillips who Show us this tag that she designed. Even the people who never scraped  before had a awesome tag to bring home. I had to take this photo off her facebook page cause I can find my picture.

We also had Debra Egner show us how to ink tiles with distress inks and stamp on them, it was so cute. And thank to Amber and Yvonne for running to the restore and bringing back the treasure.

Craft Room

Well I'm trying to get my craft room put together, We found some paint on the mistint table for $8.00 so we got a nice Brunt orange. For some reason I thought a gallon of paint should be able to cover a room but no the contractor white just sucked it right up. I got two walls done.
But anyway, I also been looking for idea of how to decorate and organize. so here a website with some really cool ideas.

Current Projects I've been working on.

I made these little books to go with a drawer year in review that I'm still working on, I'll post when I finished. The one with the bike is made from a mini comp book and the other is made with scrap paper and the Scrap Happy Glue from The Rubber Cafe it works great for making mini books.

This I made from an old garden spade I adhere the picture with a thin coat of glossy Accents. I love the shine it gives pictures. The only problem I had was attaching the clip. I finally used a huge glue dot. and figured it would just hang there, it not like she will use it in the garden.

These are the last couple ATC I made. The first one is Scetch, the next is Medical, and the third is freak show, yes that is me peaking out from behind the curtain.

This is Some Thersa Collins Paper I pick up last nigh with some Smash Book tape. The tape is what was exciting for me. If you try to get Washi Tape or the paper Masking tape it's like 5 to7 dollars a roll. This was 2.99 at SSI. I snatched it right up. I'll have to order more colors. Thanks Karla for making a dream come true from me. Ahhh Paper tape.

She has by far the cutest and est digi's ever. I have made them in to card and ATCS. That is the great part of digis is that you can adjust the size so easily.

How to get people to go away that you don't want to talk to.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wRXa971Xw0

Contains cursing but funny as hell.

Does it have to be English

http://www.edwigebufquin.com/5-index.html

I've look at alot of websites. Not all of them in English, mostly because talent is talent. The minis on this site are excellent. Who know sewing scrap paper and ribbon on thing could be so lovely. I love the travel journal she has. But Her stuff isn't usually what I would go for it's so fun and Happy, and I like dark and moody colors. But anyway take a look.

Today

Today I went to the grocery store at 6 am cause C was sick.
Today I hoped that I could give her a great birthday party.
Today I dreamed of how I could make a crop at my house more fun.
Today I forgot to call home to see hoe she was felling.
Today I heard you can be my body gaurd
Today I read a little bit out of the book it's taking me forever to read..
Today I watched Storage wars.
Today I said "What can I get for you?"
Today I believed that some people are just broken.
Today I felt sad and stressed.
Today I wondered how can I improve my art.
Today I bought a two liter of diet pepsi and drank the whole thing.
Today I cleaned the dead ants off the bottom of the pool. I'm finally able to hold my breath under water.
Today I was me.

May Flaum

In case you didn't know I've had a crush on May since I met her at Charleston Scrapbooking, I guess it was last year. What really impress me was that she didn't have a hard and fast class but, a chance to explore with some new and very cool products, she also went around and seem to just encourage everyone to do there own thing. I did my pages for my mom, kind of a missing you page, I was going to add photos of my family down here and send into her in MN. She also scrapbooks along with all of my sisters. I never did it. May I will now, I just put the page in my scrapbook and didn't send them. But anyway It was cool to see what different thing people could do with the same supplies.

She has a new free class coming up at Big Picture Class, so go check that out, also she just did a review of her favorite stuff at CHA.

A perfect waste of time

http://a-perfect-waste-of-time-loriete.blogspot.com/2011/04/tutorial-nellie-snellen-flower-stencil.html

If this doesn't make you want to get some of those plastic stencil that I didn't think anyone used anymore, what will. It's kind of like those foam stamps, as soon as someone shows you the coolest way to use it, you start wishing "I sure wish I didn't sell those for a nickel at the last garage sale. Damn it."
But really that is one of the most amazing things. It again makes me wonder, How much time do these ladies spend on one card or layout. I need to up my game.

I seen this book in Barnes and Noble, and for some reason thought of Amber. So amber I hope you rad this. Creepy ass dolls, what more needs to be said.

Then then was a dip in the pool.

Malaysia

I love looking at the work of scrapbooker from different countries. I don't know if it product or style, but they are just lovely. I mean who uses bard to made a zigzag ribbon frame around a picture. Maybe it the amount of time and technique they put onto every layout. It amazes my probably because I can not see myself doing that ever. This blog also has a bunch of tutorials on everything. ATC swap

Last Friday we at our ATC swap at Scrap, Stamp, Ink I'm part of the group that meets in North Charleston at Barnes and Noble. So our theme was Summer Flowers.
From the left Deb Thomson, Missy Dorby, and me (mine used the Door I got from ArtChix)
Deb handmade all those tiny flower, I don't know what to say about that beside Damn!
Missy's once again the photos don't do it justice.

Starting at the left was Amanda Phillips, Diane McKnight, Hilma Morales-Pesce
All are amazing and my pictures don't do them justice.
So what we learned today is that I get the opportunity to hang with some amazingly talented women, and they are funny as hell. Of course it's Craft club tonight. Woo Hoo. I forgot to bring a diaper, cause when these ladies get together I laugh so hard I almost wet myself.
I'm a busy but very lucky woman.

More masulane cards

I work with mostly men. Last year I challeged myself to make sure everyone gets a birthday card for their birthday. It was a really great experience and I'm continuing to do it. It's amazing how many guys no longer get a simple birthday card.
So because of this I am always searching for some manly designs that are not about fishing or hunting. Also that don't use brown ( My go to color for a man's card) So I found this website for you today. I must say the stamps she uses are awesome too. I need to get that architechure set. So enjoy.
I hope everyone is having a great week, it been a busy one. We had design Team meeting for Scrap, Stamp, Ink and then on Thursday we have Craft club. We had ATC swap last Friday too. These ladies are amazing. I will try to get photos up this week.

Creative Weekend

I had a nice quiet creative weekend, so I thought I would share what I have been working on.

I have been obsessed with little books, of different sorts, here is the new cover I made. I use some cardboard, I believe the images came from sum of all crafts http://thesumofallcrafts.blogspot.com/  they have some some great vintage clip art. I also dipped into my smashed penny collection to provide some of the bling for this. I love how it turned out.

I'm starting to scrap my vacation photos, some of those including a wedding down in Key west. The tag on here, was something I taught for a make and take for NSD at Charleston Scrapbooking. I used the Tim Holtz masks and distress inks, the ribbon is from Micheal's and I ran it though the sewing machine to get the frills. The background paper is from one of those paper packs, if you really want to know which one let me know.

This is Olivia and Abby, my Border Collies, it only took ten shots to get this one. And it has to be one of my favorites.

Scrapping me.

This is one of the blogs that I found though Scrapping from the inside out. For me, since I have no kids, I thought scrapbooking wasn't for me, unless there was an occasion involved. But this website gives you challenges on scrapbooking yourself and your feelings. And 15 minutes has some awesome ideas- like the smash book, the uber list and just some great layouts. Everyday I am amazed by the talent out there. And I'm glad that somehow I'm a little part of it.

Awesome Layout of parasailing

Today I would like to share the layout I did for Stickled Pick. It is awesome. Shelly give me some gray tone paper that normally I would never use. But I had just gotten a dot stamp at Big Lots for 2 bucks, so I stamped red dots all over it. Then I used my Parasailing pictures and red mats. And the coolest thing was the Tim Holtz die, that looks like the top of and award ( I can't remember what it's called) I used them in the same colors as the parachute. But in case you haven't noticed I didn't remember to take a photo. So you will have to Stickled Pink to see it.

http://www.stickledpink.com/

Well Shelley hooked me up and send me the photo so here it is.

And it better in person.it's amazing how much more creative you can get when your around creative people. Thanks for letting me hang out.

It was fun using the acrylic covers
What happens at La Te Da's gets captured in photos

The brown paper is the new Tim Holtz Glassine paper, it also uses Coorenate paper
I wish you could make out the awesome Prime bling.
I should have brought more.

I just love the little rub on flip flops
